Terms of use

Last updated 2 October 2026

These terms apply when you use symphonyatlas.com or our apps. By using them you accept these terms. Please also read the privacy policy, which explains what we keep about you.

Who we are

Symphony Atlas is operated by Yunus Emre Pak, an individual based in Istanbul, Türkiye. In these terms “we” and “us” mean Symphony Atlas. You can reach us at support@symphonyatlas.com.

What the service is

While a recording plays, Symphony Atlas shows where you are in the structure of the music. The recording itself is a YouTube video in YouTube’s own player; we do not host, sell or download it. A video can be removed or blocked on YouTube at any time. When that happens we look for another recording, and the work’s page tells you meanwhile.

Section boundaries in music are not always sharp; a transition may be felt over a pause or a held chord, so a timestamp can be off by a few seconds. If something seems wrong, tell us with the flag beside the section.

Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
  • An account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account.
  • Usernames must not pretend to be someone else or a brand, or be offensive; we may ask you to change one.

The subscription

  • There is one plan, paid monthly or yearly. The price is shown before you pay. Some works are free for everyone; there is no free trial.
  • The subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
  • On the web, Paddle.com sells the subscription to you as our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle takes the payment, charges any tax and sends the receipt, and its buyer terms also apply. In our apps the App Store or Google Play takes the payment under its own terms.
  • Refunds follow our refund policy.
  • If we change the price, we tell subscribers by e-mail at least 30 days before it applies to their next renewal.

Community rules

Reviews, replies, lists, profiles and messages must not:

  • harass, threaten or demean anyone, or attack people for who they are;
  • include sexual content, violence, or anything illegal;
  • share another person’s private information;
  • be spam, advertising, or written to mislead;
  • copy someone else’s text without the right to do so.

You can report content and block members. We may hide or remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend accounts that break them repeatedly or seriously.

Editors who improve analyses write in their own words and must not copy text from books, websites or other analyses.

What you post

What you write stays yours. You allow us to store and show it in the service, worldwide and without payment, for as long as you keep it there. When you delete something, or your account, it is removed from the service. Changes an editor makes to an analysis are an exception: they become part of the analysis and stay after the editor leaves.

Our analyses and copying

The analyses, section names, timings and texts on Symphony Atlas, and the collection they form, are ours and are protected by copyright and database rights. You may use them for your own listening, study and teaching.

You may not:

  • collect them with scripts, bots, crawlers or any other automated means;
  • copy or download the collection or a substantial part of it, or rebuild it elsewhere;
  • use them to train or test machine-learning models;
  • get around limits, locks or other ways we protect the service.

We limit how much any one account or address can read, and block those who break these rules.

YouTube

Recordings play in YouTube’s embedded player, and we use YouTube API Services. By playing a recording you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; Google handles what the player collects under the Google Privacy Policy.

Ending

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we close a paid account without such a reason, we refund the unused part of the period.

Our responsibility

We work to keep the service running and the analyses accurate, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be limited.

Changes and law

We may change these terms. If a change matters, we tell members by e-mail or on the site before it applies. These terms are governed by the law of Türkiye, and the courts of Istanbul are competent; if you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the law where you live.
