A: a long singing melody in the top voice of the right hand, with a soft, shimmering accompaniment in the same hand and off-beat notes in the left. The phrases are uneven in length. B: the music becomes agitated, with quick turns of harmony and double notes in both hands, and it peaks in a run of double sixths. A′: the opening melody , almost note for note but shorter, and the music quiets.
