Two introductory chords lead, after a pause, to the soft, smooth main melody (A). In the (B), the music slips into the distant of A-flat major above restless, off-beat chords in the left hand. The main melody as A′ covered with trills, grace notes and runs, and then new material leads back to B major. The wanders through strange harmonies and ends dreamily.

Section boundaries in music are not always sharp; a transition may be felt over a pause or a held chord.
